About Amandara
Brooke Ryan, LMT CIMT is the owner and Lead Massage Therapist at Amandara Therapeutic Massage. Brooke's love of learning and immersion into the healing arts comes across in her therapies, where she welcomes all clients into a comfortable, knowledgeable and professional environment. The name Amandara comes from a combination of Brooke's middle name, Amanda, and the sanskrit word Mandara, meaning "calm" or "mystical celestial flower".

Brooke attended college at Florida State University in the mid-1990's, where she majored in Art History, but soon learned that becoming a stay at home mom was the perfect job for her. During the early years of raising children, Brooke was educated as a Birth Doula, and was blessed to be able to work with expecting couples and to help them through their individual birth experiences.
When her children became school-aged, Brooke decided to further her education and enrolled at Cortiva Institute School of Massage Therapy in the 780-hour program in Scottsdale, AZ in 2007. There she learned Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Ethics, and Business, as well as many massage modalities such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Pregnancy, Sports and Spa. Brooke graduated from Cortiva in June of 2008 with a 4.0 GPA, and started Amandara Therapeutic Massage in January of 2009. In addition to her massage therapy business, Brooke is also a Teaching Assistant at Cortiva, volunteers at ASU Athletics with the Sports Medicine Department, and is also a Certified Infant Massage Teacher (CIMT).
Brooke is also a participating member of the Jentilly Wellness Group, which is a specialized group of professional independent massage therapists.
Professional Member of American Massage Therapy Association.

Testimonials for Therapeutic Massage:
I would like to personally recommend
Brooke Ryan and Amandara Massage for excellence in performance. Mrs. Ryan’s
attitude and knowledge of Therapeutic Massage has been exceptional at all times
and has managed to exceed any and all expectations or standards I have seen in
this industry.
Mrs. Ryan has been in direct charge
of my rehabilitation and has worked in close conjunction with my Medical Doctor
in helping rehabilitate a chronic shoulder injury that has caused me pain for
the last 4 years which has now completely ceased due to her complete care and
instruction.
Before contracting with Mrs. Ryan I
had done extensive due diligence and found that she is highly qualified. Her skills
and qualifications are among the highest and after one visit with Mrs. Ryan you
will see for yourself that she has set the bar in professionalism for Therapeutic
Massage.
I have willingly and proudly recommended
Mrs. Ryan to all of my personal friends and family which shows the level of
trust I have in her abilities and her services, and I also personally will
continue to use Mrs. Ryan and Amandara Massage for years to come.

Testimonials for Infant Massage Classes:
My baby and I loved the infant massage classes! I have been able
to show my husband some of the techniques and it has become a great
routine in the morning when our little guy is nice and alert, as well
as a soothing bedtime routine to calm him as well. Brooke's cues are
very helpful for me to remember what I have learned, and it's very easy
to modify and use what I need to depending on my baby's mood. I had no
idea that massage could help so much with different aspects of helping
a baby feel comfortable: relief from gas, bubbles, teething pains, and
more. I also really loved the ideas Brooke came up with for older
kids: we look forward to trying out the "fairy tale" massage as our
baby grows up. Thank you so much for teaching me such a great skill~ I
look forward to continuing the practice!"
